Noisy pump

Boy the power steering pump does not like -10 degrees . I started the truck this morning and that thing howled for a while and the steering was tough geting out of the driveway. If I go to synthetic fluid will that help? any brand any better then any other? And yes my overhead console registered below zero I even noticed it in the brake pedal

My truck does the exact same thing, I noticed it really bad this morning when I fired my truck up. Usually my truck stays in my garage but last night it didnt and it was about 10 degrees here this morning. It went away as soon as it warmed up.

Yes blackdog and it was 20 degrees cooler here and my truck wont fit in my garage
