I got the optional all terrain tires on my new (300 miles old) 3500 SRW and I have noticed they seem noisey above 70 MPH. Have others noticed the same thing and are the standard tires just as noisey.

My Michilins are very quiet. They're the standard tread and basically look like a car tire though :(. In fact they're quiet all the way up to 100MPH! This test was performed purely in the interest of science:rolleyes:, Don't try this at home of course ( wait till a ricer passes you on the freeway:p).

Before I got mine I test drove one that had the off road tires(BFG)on it and they did have a slight noise to them. The one I bought has the Michelin's on it and they are quite.

My Michelins are noisey, but I find that it is the road, like I mentioned in another post. The wheel tracks of a road seem to loose some of the fines around the rock in the asphalt. This makes it a course surface and the tires make noise. If I move out of the wheel tracks, it quiets right down.
