How to obtain 200k plate

amber alert ticker?

I dont understand why TDR allows NON members to post classifieds. Didnt we join for the benifits. One of them having the security of doing business with a member. Sure I know any system can be fooled but its harder if the person has at least "joined" our club.

well all these non members can also read what you wrote in this forum. I look at it as a benefit for me since I have bought things from non members that weren't available from a member for a decent price also. If you read the TDR roundtable I had talked to the staff about restricting some access to the site from non members but I do think classifieds should stay open to everyone. If you don't want to sell things to them or buy from them than you have that choice. Chris

I've never bought anything from a non member but a member once took me for ten dollars. He asked if anyone had video of his pull at TIM 04 and I did so I told him $10 for a full length tape, I figured he'd be good for it since he had a 3rd gen with twin turbos and I shipped it out before receiving a check, my fault for being trusting, after he got the tape he never answered another PM from me. I've always been trusting of members and have even since and alays had good luck, but just because they are a member doesn'tmean they are honest.

The reason we allow non-members to post classifieds is so that you the members have a better selection of items to purchase. Ads are identified whether they are members or not so you have the option to not purchase from non-members if you wish. On the listing of ads member ads are marked with a red asterisk on the right. When you look at the ad itself it says at the bottom if it's a member or non-member ad. The whole reason for allowing that is to provide more service to the members.

BTW, non-members cannot read what is written in this forum. There are several member only forums that non-members cannot view at all (Truck '911', all of the FAQ forums, 1st support support for discontinued parts, pay it forward, competition, other, politics, and website). We will be further restricting how many threads non-members can view in a day and how far back they can view soon as well.

Maybe a feedback rating system like EBAY, but it probably be overkill for a site like this. I would like to know who this person is so I don't do business with him.

Personally, I'll only sell to TDR members so at least there can potentially be some recourse with help from the site mods/owners (as I have read being done in the past on certain threads).

Steve, when I started typing my response I had been responding to a thread started in the 2nd gen forums, but before I submitted it was transferred here.

Heck the only reason I'm here is because TDR lets non members look at the classifieds. I was just doing a Yahoo search and came across this website's classifieds section, and before I knew what happened I had bought a truck and became a member Oo. . And this says alot because I am a Ford guy at heart, but this site brought me to the dark side :-laf

I have my 1992 D350 C/C for sale in the classifieds and if a non member wants to by it I will sell it to him and as soon as I sell it I will be looking for a 91-1/2 thur 93 single cab 3/4 ton and if a non member has the truck I am looking for I will buy it .
