May madness '05 a big success!!

AZ dyno anyone???

Oo. Oo. Oo.

Ok guys when and where is our next get together? It's been over a month. I have already been camping twice. I am ready for another get together.

Excluding May Madness that is. Let's do it.

Yeah, good question Oo. I got a new transmission to put on the rollers. . got to get it on before the warrenty runs out  The way the old one was slipping I must have gained a couple HP's :-laf

Hey I am up for anything. I can't think of any Dyno's that are running in the near future. I do know that there will be one up in Oroville some time this Summer if all goes well.

I will try and keep you informed. This guy has just aquired a shop. The last one he had didn't have enough power to run his machine shop equipment so he shut it down. I will be talking to him soon to see what we can set up. There is a large municipal parking lot accross the street from the shop so parking won't be a problem.

He has a 1250 HP "DYNOJET" dyno machine.

I think the whole Nor Cal Diesel thing has kind of fizzled out. I am trying to get a club started up here in Butte County. It is really slow going too. I have found that it takes more than one or two people with some enthusiasum to get something going. But I am trying. You can find us at http://www.featherriverrattlers.com I am just getting the site started up.

I'm hoping to have a little more enthusiasum after my next repair trip. I live in Yuba county. I'd be interested in joining as long as ugly, dirty, old, trucks are allowed.

Hey Ron why don't you start a club? I live in Lake county and your a lot closer than Butte. ;) Closest thing so far is San Jose. Much to far :{

I doubt that I'm organized enough. I've been thinking about having a bombing party and crawdad feed later in the summer if I don't get fed up with my truck before then. I've got a 30x50 shop building with air, power, welders, saws, grinders, a sand blast cabinet and a small machine shop. It would be good for doing exhausts, and more involved jobs. Pool for the little ones and several areas to park. I was thinking of getting some of the pieces made before hand and building a set of twins, or ladder bars or something. I would be open to suggestions for a project or two. Or maybe shiney cup holders for the 3rd gen guys.

Ron

Im game for anything!!! Ron, I would love to come to your place with some fellow bombers to help me build a shiny cup holder! But what about Blane at BVRVP? I keep trying to get him to do something but you know how that goes!

Magalias, Im game for the Dyno day at Oroville if all goes through! Keep us informed and I will tell a few of the Yuba City locals.

Ok here we go. RonA if you want to have a bombing party pick a date and I will post it on my site and we can post it here and some of the other sites if you feel it would be ok for some of the Power Strokes and Duramax's I can hit those sites also. Maybe we should have a bombing party then I could arrange a Dyno Day shortly after to see the results of the bombs. You sound like you are more set up for a Bombing party than I am. I only have a wanna be two car garage. I am willing to help out as much as possible. I am also open to having some club meetings in your area to accomodate more people. We would like to set a day of the month for meetings and keep it the same day each month. I think we could alternate locations each month as long as we keep the same day of the month. Like even months in Butte County and Odd Months in Yuba County. Let me know what you think and if there are others out there interested let me know. You can Email me and I can compile a list of people that I can Email. The email address is -- email address removed -- thanks!

I'm only about 35-40 minutes from you, so I'm not sure if that would make it any easier for anyone. If it helps, that's fine with me. I don't have alot of free time. But if some of the people have projects that would be easier done over here, I would be glad to help out or supply a place to weld and grind. I don't care about the brand of vehicle. But my knowledge is limited to the clunk i have and a little crude metal work. It would probably be a good excuse for cleaning the shop up. Blaine at BVRV had some problems with his dyno a while back and I'm not sure if it is fixed yet.

last time I talked to Blane he said the guy from Mustang was going to come out and fix it but he wanted like 10k to fix it and he found another guy that knows the software and could fix it for about 2-3k. But that was about a month ago so I need to talk to him. I also just bought a Juice from him for my dads truck and he told me to get it hooked up and bring it back so we could dyno it, but I forgot to ask him if it was fixed.

Blane had a mess of motorhomes and trailers out front this weekend. Don't know what was up but something was for sure. Looked like a big party from the Highway.

Thats just the way his shop is now, its like that everyday. I think people are paying him to keep them there?

Magaliasram, what was the name of the banks installer in Oroville? I had a buddy got some work done there and I thought he got his truck dynoed there but Im not sure. Its time for a nice big dyno day.

I had a short conversation with Steve the guy that owns the shop with the Dyno in Oroville. He is open to anytime this summer. I mentioned BBQ and he said great. We talked a bit on price he said probably $60. 00 for three runs. There are plenty of things to do in this town also. We have two Casinos and one has some really nice rooms. We also have a couple of RV parks in the area and some Federal Campgrounds. Just in case anyone wants to spend the night. We are going to try and have some new Fords, Dodges, and GM Duramax's on hand also. We have a Bully Dog rep. in the area and he is also a diesel mechanic. That is it for now so be thinking of a date probably in July or August which ever is best. I will work on some more stuff for this event. It will depend on financing and how many will commit to this.

RonA are you still wanting to have a bombing day? If so we should try to work it in before a Dyno Day. I would love to have a get together up here I think it would be a lot of fun. I am sure we could draw a few people from outside the area also. I have a gas BBQ I could bring down and maybe do up some hamburgers and dogs. Let me know what you think of this idea.

I'm working on getting things cleaned up. Just got the mowing done. Cleaned out a spot in the shop by a roll up door. Truck is up at PDR being repaired. I'll keep you posted and try to give you an idea of when I might be ready.

Ron

Sorry to hear about your truck is it actually broke or is Piers doing some modifications? If you want to just get together for just a chat and to discuss club stuff that is ok too. We can pick a coffe shop somewhere in between or even in Yuba City or Marysville if some other folks want to come too. Let me know if you want to try and work something out.

As long as it doesnt conflict with the PDR First Gen day I will be there. There is no date set for the First gen day as of yet, but as soon as I hear something I will let you all know. They are saying that it should be sometime in August.

I might be able to round up some folks to make the drive with me. I will keep an eye on this thread so I know what is going on.
