Normal 100K Maintenance

I am about to hit 100K on my 4. 5 and I am wondering what preventive maintenance I should be doing. I suspect replacement of the lift pump would be first priority. What else should I be looking at? How about the rubber hoses? Should I replace those. I believe one should do what ever one can to prevent a nasty breakdown especially since I am a full time RV'er doing a lot of traveling. Breaking down with a 5th wheel is not fun.

This may not be normal maintenance to all but this is what I would do and check for on my truck at a 100,000 miles.



change all fluids including brake too

coolant hose's

coolant flush (maybe)

check batteries

inspect and or change water pump/thermostat

change belt

check u-joints

valve adjustment

inspect exhaust manifold for cracks

test alternator

lift pump if original

check brakes/hoses ect.....

check suspension components



did I miss anything

check the manual for schedule.



Valves are due at 150,000... mine were ok but did needed adjusting finally at 300,000.



Coolant flush every 100,000 miles. Changed thermostat at 200,000 mile flush. Back flush radiator exterior with solvent.



Did brakes for 1st time at 350,000 miles with a flush too.



I change serpentine belt every 100,000 miles.



Replaced altenator (OEM from Dodge)at 250,000, kept old one for emergency spare.



All of the above were OK when changed.



I haul RV's commerically and have been loaded 60-65%.

I just suck it up and change ball joints and unit bearings at the 100k mark. I figure it as preventive maintainence.

Thanks for all the good info. I appreciate it. Lift pump. Would I be better off biting the bullet and get a FASS or go with the pump in Geno's catalog? The truck is now stock. If I go to an upgrade I suspect it would max 75 horse.
