I know that I won't get a wait to start light with the temp 70+, however I used to get the fass pump to cycle for 5 sec and now I don't hear it? I would turn the kwy off and try again and still nothing. It engine will start fine and give me 15 psi at the pump. Questiuon is the pump to run 5 sec prior to every start? or is something going bad?

Did the ECM get reflashed? The lift pump on my '01 quit the pre-start cycle after I had the dealer enable my high idle. I suspect they flashed the ECM with the latest software at the time. I thought I read on here a few years ago something about it being a software update to fix some starting issues. Personally, it seems it would be a good thing - but maybe DC deems it unnecessary. I've never been able to verify this as fact, so hopefully someone else with chime in. I'm curious too.

I also noticed that after the ECM reflash for hi idle that my lift pump now only bumps on for about 1 to 2 seconds with key on. I am running a FASS and can hear it bump. If you bump the starter, it will still run for about 25 seconds. I believe they made the change to address some that were having hard start issues with fuel pressure when cranking.
