Vendor of the Year

OK Boys and Girls I found us a nice shop for our Jan. get together. They have the proper equipment and can handle the duallys.

The planned date is Saturday Jan. 26. The shop is located in Benson, NC just a few miles from the I-40/I-95 junction. This is a first class race shop, should be a nice event. Check them out.

http://www.trueblueperformance.com/

Cost is $60 for three pulls. We need 10 trucks to pull to make it worthwhile for the shop. So let me know soon, I'm not going to reserve the date unless we have enough trucks.

I hope we have enough this should be our best event yet. These guys have gone out of their way to help us out, this could be a great relationship for us.

If any one is interested in camping the nearest campground is about 20 miles. I'll get us a group rate if there is the need.

Looking forward to it.

Wes

YOU BET

I'm in

I just winterized the camper so I don't think I will be doing the camping thing. I think it will be getting cold sometime this winter, if not I might get the "JETSKIS" going on Christmas.

I would like to do a run stock and then if I could get my hands on an EZ I would like to do it again. What you think?? If need be I will run it twice one with the EZ and one without. Santa has a fuel preasure gauge and 3 gauge pod and some other "stuff" on the way.

What time are you setting this up for? For us east coasters it will take less than 2 hours to get there.

Lets set a time and place to meet and make up a flyer to give to every CTD that we see and make this happen. Thoughts.

Thanks Wes:)

See Ya

Chris

Forgot to ask you

Did you get a new clutch for yours yet?? I would like to compare the numbers from our two trucks.

Let me know if you need a hand setting this up.

We aren't going to Mi for Christmas this year. It is kinda a bummer having a brown/green Christmas vis a white one.

See Ya

Hey Guys

This could be the best yet, this shop is ultra nice, with several pullthru bays we should have a couple open for some inside seating and a little bombing if anyone is up to it. Perfect time to install those Xmas presents. They also have a well stocked parts department, mostly catering to the mustang crowd, but I did see alot of Autometer gauges. It would be a perfect time to get a good deal on some gauges, just let me know what you need and I will try to work a good deal.

I'm trying to find some companies that would be willing to donate small prizes or gift cerfificates. Any one have any suggestions?

I need a little help pursuing this since I have been working lots and lots of hours I don't have much extra time.

I have 5 trucks so far when we get 8 I will feel comfortable locking the date down. Depending on how many trucks dyno, will determine the start time, but I would think fairly early 0800-0900. Then we can go with the flyers and such.

I forgot to mention the main purpose of this gathering is to begin the formation of a recognized local TDR chapter. So if you want any input in this, consider being there.

Chris:

I have the new clutch sitting in my floor right now, since I'm not towing much lately my stock clutch is holding just fine. Going to get my money worth before swapping in the new one.

Count me in on your "dyno day!" I will do some calling

and contacting around here to see if I can get some

more owners to come. Thanks for all your effort on

this Wes! Hopefully, this will go better than the

dyno runs in Jacksonville.

BTW, thought all of you would like to know that

Pete Peterson traded his beloved red dually 2001. 5

6-speed about a week ago!!!!! And guess what he

traded it for?? An AUTOMATIC patriot blue, 4X4 short

bed!!!!! Yes, I was shocked too!! I went into National

Dodge last week for service and on the front drive I

see the red 4X4 dually. When I got to the service

desk, I said "Heh, that red dually looks alot like Pete

Peterson's truck. " Service manager says, "That is

Pete Peterson's truck, he traded it in for a 2002 last

week!" Naturally, I had to call him and later went by

his house to see it. It is a beautiful truck! Congrat-

ulations Pete!!! But... ... ... ... ... an automatic????????

Thanks again Wes!

If I was a "betting man" I would say he will never

do it!! Besides, he might be "disappointed" after

driving that 6-speed.

Do you still have the paper work on how to get a chapter started??

Keith send it out but as of today I still have not received it. I tried to send him a PM but his mail box is full, I tried twice all I get is the error flag. I'll try and get up with him to pick his brain on this, that way we don't have to re-invent the wheel. I think I have his phone number out in the camper.

Do you have any thoughts on a name?? Mid-Altantic States TDR ?? Thoughts ?? I just threw it out there to get some thoughts started.

I think I will be running my truck twice one stock and with a ??? for the second one.

Pete's truck looks great. Tires are on the small side, but he has it loaded with ALL the GOODIES.

John

Pete may be running with the red rocket going ??? mph down I40. He has the high gears in this one so she should cruse pretty good.

See Ya

Chris

:D

Request it from Robin

Chris we can just requested that TDR send us the packet. Same stuff that Keith has I imagine.

We have 7 so far, need a couple more to make this go.

Jake -Outrider from over past Charlotte

Malser - A Ford  dude from somewhere in NC.

These are the only ones that committed to running so far.

Number 3 and Number eight

Wes

Lets move forward on this. Santa brought me something that I want to run after the stock run.

You done a super job getting this going.

I am still waiting on a pod and other stuff, from Geno's that I need to get things installed.

Where are we meeting and want time??

Name for the new chapter??

Thanks

See Ya

Chris

Wes,

We have already talked a few times, but I guess posting here makes it official. Count me in for the dyno!!! It was all depending on my clutch before I could commit. My SBC will be installed next wednesday if all goes well. I will be happy to help out in anyway that I can with getting things together for this. With me on board do we have enough trucks signed up?

Dean

Come on Chris tell us what you got.

Do tell. I hate surprises. By the way no fair, Santa ain't been to my house yet.

Ok. I'll go ahead and book the date. But we still need a couple of more. They asked for 10-14 runs. I thought surely we could get 10 trucks. So far we have 10 trucks, but only 8 planning to dyno. A couple of others of expressed interest.

Anyone else that's thinking on attending post or email me soon.

I don't mind wasting my time, but I sure would hate for the shop to loose $$$ on this deal, because not enough of us showed.

Thanks Guys,

Wes

Ok Dean snuck one in on me, now we have 9. Might make it after all. :D :D

Time and location

Wes

Sounds great to me. :D :) :D

We still have a little over a month to go, I think we can double our numbers.

If you could post the time and location that way a flyer can be made. I am planning on giving one to every CTD owner or wiper blade I see.

After the first of the year we need to get togather and nail everything down, so this is orangized and not like an event we went to about a year ago.

Pm me on your thoughts on your plans so far and we will start from there. :p

See Ya

Chris

I wasn't able to get in touch with the man today, but I will let you know what time as soon as I can.

I'll try to have directions for you also.

Wes

I might be able to make this one ... but don't count me in your #'s. I'll be on my way back from Arkansas ... should roll into your area the night of the 25th if all goes well ...

Chris ... I sent you another copy in todays mail ... .

Keith

Jan 26th it is

OK the date is reserved.

Starting time 8:30.

Directions from I-40:

Take exit 319 ( Highway 210) East towards Smithfield.

Just about 1/4 mile, the first road you come to right after the Texaco Station, turn left.

200 yards left turn. Old Roberts Road. No road sign. There is a sign pointing you towards TRUE BLUE PERFORMANCE.

Go one mile you will get into a business park. The shop is on the right.

I hope that I didn't make it sound to difficult because it is very easy to find.

I'll try to get some signs made up to point the way.

Hopefully someone can come up with a map for us.

Plenty of parking.

See you all there,

Wes
