Vendor of the Year

Thinking about trying for it, if time and money permit. I need to make a few dyno runs to compare equipment I'm installing. And I'd like to see my good buddy John P. It's 11 hours one way, I know, I've made the trip many times.

What kind of dyno is it? I prefer a Mustang dyno. But would consider making an exception just for comparision.

Sorry Tom it's a dynojet. There is a nice race shop around that is getting a mustang, but I doubt they have it up and runnning by then.

I hope that everything works out so you can make it. It would be nice for someone to whip on John P. for a change. Us little guys are tired of being embarrassed by him. :)

When you figure out if you can make it let me know if you need a place to stay, or will you tow your trailer.

Keith:

Why in the world would you want to go to Arkansas, got a good tip on a land deal?:D If you make it would be nice to have you, don't drive too hard to make it, wouldn't want that little 12 valve tired out by the time you get here.

Will you have your trailer in tow? Maybe I can find somewhere for you to park if you need?

Directions have been edited.

Chris I think i emailed you a map, Not for sure if it was the right email or not.

Wes

Keith,

This is Scott (the one that camped beside you last year in the park near Wes's). "Life is Good!" If your going to have camper in tow, like Wes asked, let's go camping! I think Wes will camp if we will. Let's all camp! This is the best time of year for camping; fires, cuddling, keeping warm with the drink!

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all!

Get some

Wes

Sounds like everything is starting to jell together well.

What are the camping options in the area.

I may take off early on the 25th and do the camping thing.

I recieved your directions, they look good.

Got to get going.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Happy.

See Ya

Chris

Wes and Scott ...

Not sure about hauling the spare house right now ... . as it stands ... We'll be going to St Louis ... southern Illinois ... Arkansas ... and hopefully get to the event area on Friday night ... so much to do in such a short time . . I can make better time without towing a load ..... so ... we just haven't decided yet . .

I sure hope to make it!!

Ok Scott

I don't care how cold it gets. I ain't cuddling with you. :D

Wes, I ain't got the cojones to pull that RV trailer over the Smokies between Tennessee and Asheville, NC. Them there curves are white knuckle driving, even for an old racer like me. I'll find me a no-tell motel somewheres in the area, travel light and fast.

Tom:

I sent you a long e-mail about two days ago. Did you ever

get it??? Just wondering because I haven't heard anything

from you.

little tired 12 valve???

Come on now Wes,,I can not believe that you would even say something like that,,You still haven't told the rest of those guys down there that you righteous ride had his NC butt kicked by a PROPERLY valved truck now did you???,,I can only hope I get home from out west early enough to make this trip,,Lets see now, your hurt clutch and my hurt clutch,a pair of easy chairs,1 big table,my gas grill,a little food, cold beverages of our choice and while the rest pull you and I can bench dyno pull(its easier on parts that way,or call it supervision),,And no you may not share the chair with me,,Will keep the bunch of you posted as it gets closer,if the weather out west is good to me I may make the trip,,Got that pic pulled off the CD from Kauffmans of the two of our trucks nose to nose,,Looks awsome,do you want a 8x10 or and 11x14 of it?? COLOR]

Dualing banjos

Let the good times roll.

What state was it that Deliverance filmed in??:p :D :p

Just kidding.

Wes

I think I will tote the camper out there. I have a genertor it's a small one only 3500 watts. I will have to measure it and make sure there is enough room in the back.

It should do fine to play a TV and DVD as well as keeping barley pops cold.

That way to I can test out what Santa brought me.

See Ya

Chris

John, I just emailed you. Seems to be a problem with email getting lost between us... :D

Wes, you got a good little group going, great work! I don't mind that it's a dynojet. Be interesting to try it, anyway.

I hope you don't ever have to travel through that stretch with Kimrey. That boy thinks he is Jeff Gordon on a road course. He just blows everybody off the road, with that big 5er behind him.

I'd sure like to have one, been wondering if you found it.

I'll trade you a shifter knob for one.

Wes

OK Wes, first of all I meant cuddling with the girlfriends ( Wives if your married). Second of all I don't drive fast, as a matter of fact I think your foot is heaveir than mine. Just because I passed you up a hill don't mean I drive fast, I just have MORE POWER!!!:D

Might pull the 5er

I had thought about pullin the 5er down to the Selma/Smithfeild KOA off of exit 98 on I-95. This would put me about 30 mins. from exit 319 by the looks of it. I'm gonna call them to make sure they are open even tho their website says they're open year round. Anyone know of anywhere closer, let me know. This way, the wife and I can drive down on Friday after I get off of work, plus it will give her a little break after the holidays. :D :D :D

Camping

Dennis and anyone else that is interested

The KOA in Smithfield is the closest that I know of, but we have been given permission to camp at the dyno shop if you would like. This would be dry camping, no hookups. The owner of the shop also owns a lot adjacent to the shop where they park carhaulers and such. He has very graciously agreeed to allow us to park there. A few of you guys talked about generators, I don't see a problem with running them for a while to charge the batteries, but you will not be allowed to run them all night long. As there is a nearby mobile home park and we don't want to upset the neighbors.

I promised that we would leave the area in better shape than we found it. This means hauling away our trash, no dumping waste water, etc. Just generally be good neighbors. Sorry no tent camping (probably a tough time of year for that anyhow).

I think True Blue is going way out their way to accomodate us and I have given my word that our camping will not cause them any problems. I know I can count on you all, so we will be welcomed back again.

I just need to know how many will be parking trailers so I can make sure we arrange ourselves to fit everyone in the same area.

I will probably pull in around 3:00 on Fri. no need to gather to early.

To address some other concerns:

They will have two bays emptied out for us to use for seating and such. You will need to bring your own chairs. And we could probably use a couple of folding tables.

Yes they do have facilities available, no Porta-Johns.

As for lunch most groups usually order up some pizzas from a joint just down the road. I think this would be the best. Maybe a couple of folks could supply some drinks instead of pitching in on grub. Just let me know, so we can make sure we have everything covered.

Ok guys bring on the torque, I'm coming loaded for bear. :D

Wes
