Anyone know of any Dodge dealers near N. California who are willing to negotiate and give a good guy a good deal on a new Cummins. Got someone who wants one NOW, but wants a great deal. Heard of dealer in Kellog, ID, and one in Tennessee, but need a truck now in Cali. If he can't find one nearby, he's going to buy a CHEVY, GOD FORBID! Need help, stat!!

Call Rob Randolph at Serramonte Dodge in Colma CA (near S. F. ) 300 under invoice. Talk to Rob directly and mention my name. Don't know if there is pricing out yet on 05.

AutoWest Dodge in Roseville treated me well on the Sale but because I don't live near their I can't comment on the service dept.

I ended up all the way at Autoworld in Petaluma. I'm near Sac and Folsom lake dodge and Elk grove dodge tried to screw me. So I started making phone calls. Much quicker.

Dodge is having a "factory authorized" Tent sale at the Eastridge Mall in San Jose this weekend. There are 4 dealers at the event and they appear to be dealing?

I second Rob Randolph at Serramonte.

I got the same deal, and to top it off there was no BS, I had my truck 2 months after I ordered it, and it was always pleasant working with Rob

I ordered mine at Magnussen's in Auburn. About 20 miles east of Sac. I have dealt with Eddie Reyes(sp). Give them a call too. Always ask to speak to the fleet dept. That's where the decent prices can be had imho.

Thats too bad, guess I just got lucky with the right sales person. List was 40. 5 and we paid 32. 7

Sounds like you got lucky... I wouldn't recommend going there for service, though.

I also ordered mine at Magnussen's, I dealt with Steven Jackson and Larry Bosworth in the fleet dept. Very easy to deal with and I got it for the price on Cars Direct which was good at the time with all the rebates going.

Agree 100%. Have taken wifeys Durango to Autowest for service before, never again. I purchased my 3rd Gen through Jim Duncan at Magnussen's in Auburn. In short, this guy knows his trucks. He is the only reason I came back to Magnussen's after looking at Folsom, Swift and Autowhatever. He never tried to BS me, like the salesgeeks at the other places, FWIW.

Thanks for all the input guys! Your quick responses were no doubt prompted by your willingness to help someone from making a BIG mistake. But alas, my father will not listen to his son and he bought the chevy! This must be payback for all the times I didn't listen to him I guess!

I work for Hartzheim Dodge in San Jose, I used to buy all of my vehicles at Seramonte Dodge through either Rob or Arnold and both treated me very well. Here at the dealer I work for now we have one of the 2 Business link dealerships in the area and can offer a pretty good deal especially if you are a business owner although not necessary to get a good price. Talk to Andrew Lutter and mention that Mike Crossley sent you down; no I do not get anything for the deal I am the IT Administrator here.

I ordered and bought my 2003 through Elk Grove Dodge aka: Lasher Dodge before their move to the new Elk Grove Auto Mall (Sacramento County) in May of 2003. They are/were with the Costco auto buying program, so it was $500 over Invoice with no hassle and with full invoice copies after leaving the plant.

My feedback is that their ordering was fine. Their Service Department was OK at first, then went down hill fast so within 10 months I pledged to never set foot on their property again! Not after they tried to replace a CD changer under warranty with a used, dirty, broken one out of a used car! They also can't align a 4x4 front end, nor do they care if they do! “Chuck” was the Service Manager at the time. :-{}

Since then, I have been very, very impressed with Swift Dodge's Service Department in Sacramento. Really nice, concerned, and competent folks! I bet their sales dept. is good too... FWIW. :)
