OHIO Round-up @ Truck Pulls #6

The GLTDR/ILTDR is planning a dyno day late in April. Right now April 23 looks the best. It will be held in the Joliet area. I am talking to a couple of vendors and firming up the details.

You will get three runs for $50. 00. Owner will drive their own truck.

Would like to gauge interest so we can plan accordingly.

Dennis

To answer your questions (before you even ask them), it is a Mustang MD-250 dyno. Duallies can drive right on with no modifications. Yes, that's right Dennis, you can keep your training wheels on.

You will be able to pick from several different types of runs. Acceleration power surve, 1/4 mile simulated sprint (if you know the accurate weight of your truck), parasitic power losses, pull-down test (my favorite), and Dynojet simulation (given the right software shows up on time for the last two tests).

All tests will be printed with HP and torque (if possible). And you will get 1/4 mile stats for those runs (60 ft. , 0-60 mph, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, trap speed).

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, you may have on the machine.

This does sound like fun. I wouldn't mind driving down. I'll have to see if i can make it!! Hopefully the price of #2 drops pretty soon!

Curtis

I may make it down there, altho I probably won't run on the dyno it still would be fun to watch others spooling it up.

Mememe

Ill be there, ill see who i can drum up to bring along too, never hurts to have moral and financial support! :-laf

Much shorter drive for me than St. Louis, 300 miles vs 100 miles

Jake

Yes, the dyno operator cannot compete. Then maybe somebody else can win.

I am also planning to bring a grill for cooking out. Probably brats and burgers.

Party33,

I'll be there for this innagural event to the GLTDR/ILTDR chapter. :--)

Aron,

Lets try not to put the " soda " tub too near the exhaust exits!!! :{

It makes the cans taste funny. :-laf

How much time in between runs will we have to adjust things ??:p

Last time we me I did not have them. But now the hood is pretty full. I have not run the truck on the rollers since I installed the twins. I am looking forward to the results (I hope). I know my EGT's are down about 300 degrees.

Dennis,

The question now is will the rollers be able to stand the STRAIN ??

Can we add a little more fuel in your future ? :D

Look forward to the inaugural event of the fledging TDR/ILLTDR. Oo. Oo.
