:-laf :-laf You'll have to take that up with Wayne.

Bryan was right.

I was taught this ancient rain dance by a band of roving gypsy madiens who held me captive. :-laf

After they finished with me----- Oo.

I was able to remember a few of the things they taught me.

Guys my thanks for all those who came & made this a great time for everyone. ;)

My dyno times experienced some gremlins :-{}

But the G-teck times of 16 et & 95 plus mph made my day. :--)

Our thanks to Aron for his dyno & Dennis for doing the BIG effort to put this together!!!!!!

We all hope Aron gets his part at a better price or someone LOANS him one to get home on. :)

Thanks to all,

Wayne

Neither was mine. I KNOW the 133 is wrong (Should've been up there with Kyle's #'s. We have some of the same engine mods). A MS and GSK should fix that. :D

Using my speed in the 1/4 mile test and this, it says I should be at around 262 or so.

Hope Aron's truck is up and running quickly. Was bummed to not see it run. Hope it is a simple and cheap fix.

Bryan,

Thanks for the site to check the HP.

My times from the G-teck of 16 seconds & 95 plus mph turned out to be around 451 hp. Oo. :--)

Thats more like what I figured it was about. :)

That parasitic monster will not take me down again. :-laf :-laf

Wayne-

That's sounds alot better. I knew you were making a lot more ponies than what was showing up. I knew that with me only being 6 tenths/sec slower in the 1/4 mile test than you, was wrong. Your truck is a lot faster than mine. :O That, and I can't break my tires loose on dry pavement.

Thanks again for the rain dance. Worked great. :D :-laf

Thanks to everyone who helped put on the dyno day -- Dennis, Aron, Integrity Automotive. I had a great time, hope we can make a regular event out of this and maybe some better (warmer) weather next time.

Aron, i hope i can do something to help you out, and if not -- good luck with getting home and thanks again for your hard work at the event.

CSnyder - thanks for the great deal on the gauges.

BTW - Dennis - your truck rocks! Love the twins and the smoke show, i hope to see it again soon with a DD clutch in it.

Jake

Thanks Jake. I had a great time. Already talking about expansion and a fall event. I am open for suggestions. That roadrunner that ran at the end was HOT. 11. 78 quarter mile.

Dennis

Well guys, i decided to re-dyno my truck at a friends speed shop later yesterday after i left, heres what i found out -

176 HP 488 TQ (Stock)

193 HP 519 TQ (Level 1)

215 HP 557 TQ (Level 2)

241 HP 605 TQ (Level 3)

249 HP 636 TQ (Level 3 with wastegate blocked)

And to boot - i went out and decided to g-tech my truck later and ran a 17. 4 at 83 MPH on that, with the program on level 3

Just figured id share some numbers, seems the dyno was "spot on" for my truck with the stock program.

Meltdown...

Well, I barely made it there, but it was more than worth it! I would have liked to been able to have brought my truck as well, but just brought my Roadrunner :D

HUGE thanks to Dennis for getting this together, and to Aron for his Dyno, and most importantly, for waiting for me to show up before closing it down.

It was my first time on a Dyno, and my first chance to get some baselines on my fresh motor. Next time I'll make sure my tach's working!!

Thanks again, Jim

hp- 349. 9(60hp too low?)

1/4- 11. 70 @110. 36(best)

60ft- 1. 30

Jim,

Watching your car 'yank' on the dyno was a hoot. When you launched that thing me, and a few others, were backing up looking for cover. Let's get together and get some more ponies in that Cummins too !

Jim, you were losing HP all over the place. I'd bet that you lost at least 80 HP. 20 of it was the wrinkle in the tires and the rest was the tire slippage on the rollers. You were really SMOKIN' those rollers!

As for everyone else, we are in the process of sending the numbers to Mustang to get an idea as to why the numbers were so low. I am not going to defend them as I think they are a bit low. But the 1/4 mile calculated HP's seem more accurate. I am also going to do some more testing in the near future to see what happened. Stay tuned.

I've been planning on twins and started to think ... ... ... both (and the only) trucks with twins at this meet had problems. Is this a coencidence or something a little more common once the motor comes apart - if only just the head.

- ERic

So who is going to the Dyno Day in Jackson, Mi on May 21? Heck Eric thats just about in your backyard. I pre-registered the other day. They are also allowing you to bring your camper and stay over on there property! Karl

Eric, I think it was just a coincidence. There are a lot of twin equipped trucks out there that do fine without problems. Of course, you have to modify things like an auto transmission or clutch, o'ring and/or firering the head , etc. depending on what boost you ultimately want to run:)

Aron Problem had nothing to do with the twins. My compression problem is yet unresolved. My clutch problem has plenty to do with the twins. Too much power.

Dennis

My twins may be for sale !!!

Why are you thinking of taking the plunge and inviting all those "problems"? :-laf Why would you want to do that?

If you are considering twins, they are a blast! But I don't recommend anything more than 60psi for a daily driver. Above 60 psi, you start to jam in hot air and defeat the purpose of twins. Unless you start to inject water/alky (Cummins love the sauce!), and install a bigger cooler, and on and on. Just something to think about.

As a side note, My truck has been running just fine. Don't know why it didn't work in IL. But the return trip I got 12 MPG. Not great, but not bad considering the truck and trailer weighed in at 19,020 lbs.

The gremlins that peaked into my dyno run :-laf didn't have the last laugh,

I DID !!!!

My pleasure on the rain dance for your being able to attend.

I'm sorry we didn't get to spnd more time kicking tires & telling stories.

But, it was nice meeting your dad. :)
