Sorry i missed out guys, i got stuck in the middle of a nice big car accident i had to haul cars out from. I had 2 hours of picking up parts and cleanup so i got waylaid with that for the nite. Hope to catch up with you guys next time.

It was fun getting to meet new people (and putting faces to the usernames) and BS about trucks and such. There was one DTR member that I invited (first gen owner) there also. He brought a Cummins powered dump truck.



I got home a little after 1AM. Not much traffic that time of night. I like that. :-laf



Not too bad of a turnout, given it was the first one. Hope there will be more next time.

Next time we meet Mabe we should have a BBQ so the whole family can have something to do. I don't think the kids have much fun on a dirty blacktop parking lot. any Ideas on a date? It will soon be back to school time Oo. for the little one's and the half grown ones too :-laf . a byomab(bring your own meat and beverage) some one figure out a DATE and a place as I live in McHenry not in Rochelle. don't know the area. Everyone welcome!

A state or county park would be good... . When I had the boat there was always some good BBQs at Chain-O-Lakes State park in Fox Lake... There is even a RV area in this park... Biking, Hiking, Boat launch ramp watching (a blast) and I think there is horse rental (not postive on that).

That place in fox lake is a good one, there is also a pretty big preserve here in Elk grove village right on higgins and rte. 53. Theres good fishing at both.

Chain of lakes even has showers and a boat launch overnight camping ect I vote for chain of lakes. :-laf It's even close to a citgo that sells diesel 24/7 cold pop and beer ect. Oo. mabe some wis people will come on down for this one?

I totally forgot about the preserve in EGV..... Just throwing this out there, but the WI guys are trying to put together a BBQ after the Diesel Drags at Union Grove at the end of August, maybe we can get with them for something at Bong Recreational Area which is just south of Union Grove that day or another w/e (not sure of the schedule for the drags which may not let us do a afternoon BBQ). Bong has camping, a lake w/beach for swimming, a few circuits for ATVn/Motocross and other stuff. Altho there is a $10 entrance fee for out of staters ($30 for year).

Both ideas sound good to me. time to buy charcoal lots of it and clean tod's bbq grill for travil. Oo. Oo. Time to slaughter a pig and buy some aged beef. Yum Yum for the tummy and soul.

OK that's fine with me . but I need a date if you want me to come. I have to take off work and that's easy to do as I own the company but I think I will be going to mt to pick up a engine for another fellow diesel head and I need a date to schedule around the pick up. is august going to work or would sept-oct be a better time? how about a chat session between us all to figure this out?
