2006 ATS Diesel Summit

Gatewat Raceway in STL,MO

Thanks for posting the time change, Josh. Last week was a little nuts for my work schedule. Funny how cold weather makes equipment fail and dump oil and coolant everywhere.

We are on for 4pm at the 'rock. I'll be there. It should be a good time.

Not a problem!

The Site is updated too.

4pm... . Humm... I might be a touch late... but I'll be there.

I have to work till 3... . I'll try to get out early!

Nope, not Oakes ave, but still within inebriated crawling distance of the 'Rock.

Josh would know, he's good at crawling home from the bars.

My old man told me, If you can't be good son be good at it!

What's the average drive time? 75mph-ish.

From where?

It's about 2-2. 5 hours from the Cities.

Josh

Google maps put the trip at 6 hours and 335 miles.....

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=55417+to+58267

from my zip code to the shops zip code.

75mph / 335miles = 4. 6 hours from my place. Minus 1 hour to get to rogers area..... 4 hours? well, it's not as bad at 6, but I'm sure that was calculated at 55mph.

Josh, If you can do that in 2 hours from "just out side the cities, say, ramsey" , and not get a ticket, I'll buy you lots of beer. :)

Umm... . Read what post you are talking in. There is no "shop" involved with this outing.

If it takes you 5 hours to hit Superior Wisconsin, you shouldn't be driving.

And yes I HAVE done it in an hour and a half. You asked about running 5mph over.

I'm SOOOOO Sorry. . I got the MNTDR threads mixed up. Sorry dude :)

I'll buy you a beer next time I see ya tho :)

MN has a speed limit over 60mph? :) w0w. that's insane! :)

I like to run 15 over in most cases.

Some places back in MI, if your not runnig 100mph, you'll get run over. :)

Hey Josh, how fast can your truck get to Duluth right now? :p

Well..... It would probably make it up there or close pretty quick... .

The way back might be interesting!

I think the Caprice has better top end though...

There are alot of poroche dealerships around here. . maybe I"ll take one for a "test drive" and average 180mph up there... 45 minutes anyone?

I am going to Grand Rapids, MI on 3/11 to look at a 1st Gen and if I buy it, I'll be driving her home the weekend of 3/25 so looks like I can't make it. From the info and pics I have on this 1st Gen, it'll be in the driveway. Hey Josh, don't throw away the tow strap  :-laf How are you guys going to deal with the 25 MPH speed limit on Tower Ave? :-laf

Actually, from Belknap (Hwy 2) all the way down to the rock, it is 35 now. Otherwise the answer would have been "close your eyes and floor it!"

Well that one has been retired after it broke 4 times...

A new one will be found, that will handle the "abuse" that I put it through!
