Competition route 66 firestone burnout contest

Competition Hotel info for the High Desert Diesel Roundup

We ran a best time of 11. 63 @ 115, diesel only! Can't wait for next year, might even get the squeeze up and going...

Great turnout, lots of trucks there... Specatators too. :D

Lennys truck rocked!

He ran it at the track, then swapped the tires/ wheels and then sled pulled. very impressive!!

It was an excellent turnout and a great day!

Congrats to Paul Breedlove for winning not only the day, but the season overall in the Pro2 (sportsman) bracket! Congrats also to Fred (Slybones), who really earned his runner-up for the season. Nice work boys! :)

Hats-off to Ross, who won the day and the season in Pro1. I gave him the win in the finals (I guess I really like the color red  ), and he showed that persistence pays! Fletch handed me the win in the first round in just that way, and was still deep in the 10's in spite of some carnage.

Lenny finally made a run faster than me, but if folks believe he made it on #2 only, I've got a world-record green Ford to sell them... ;) Still, no matter how it was done, that one run was cool. I was impressed that he was finally able to make more than one pass without breaking something, even if he was unable back up that time. His going to twins won me a tidy little bet too! :-laf

Thanks to Randy's Off Road and the NHRDA sponsors: Edge Products, Banks Power, BD Power, MBRP, Randy's, AFE, Bully Dog, Rancho, and Dynomax, for making this series possible! I'm looking forward to next year. Oo.

LENNY IS A WUSS! :-laf

He called me Sunday to ask me what he should - and my advice was to hit it with both barrels, on the wood, squeeze it, no excuses, win or break, smack it up, flip it, rub it down!

What does he do? He wusses out and doesn't run the squeeze. Jeezus man, I told him everyone would assume he did, so just DO. Now, I understand not wanting to get kicked off the track, but heck, he should have hit it on the last run of the night! #@$%!

Rhonda, unless my calculator is broken though, his 11. 70 backs up the 11. 63 under the 1% NHRA rule, does it not? His 3rd quickest run, the 11. 85 he also ran that night, ties with YOUR BEST TIME EVER. Give the guy some credit.

Byron Haner took 1st for the season and Scott Zaffram took 2nd for the under 8500# sled pull. good job guys

I have ZERO Sympathy. I'll say it “I told you so” all you had to do is let Will put in your front end and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

LOL!!!!! I'm sure you'll listen next time…. …... right???????? :-laf :-laf

Seems as I recall he made a pass faster than you the first time he came to the track this season with a single turbo and some N²O. But then everyone just says that he did it with N²O. Even though spraying with one turbo is very similar to running twins with no spray. Then you came back and beat his run by like . 1 or something like that. Then the very next time he came to the track he beat your best again by a larger margin with #2 only. I don't get the whole "backed up" thing. You don't run 11. 63 on a fluke. Then you come on here and try to discredit his run by saying he was running N²O? WTF? I would think getting off the track changeing tires and takeing 1st in the sled pulls would be pretty good backing up that he's defineatly got the fastest and best 4X4 in the northwest! :-laf
