Cummins has NEW NAME

free veggie oil for me

Sounds like a ZEX. I would personally ditch the zex brain and mount a hobbs switch in the air intake next to the nozzle. You will need at least a 30 amp relay, arming switch for inside the cab, hobbs switch and wire. If you can't get an adjustable one pick up a 25 psi model. Nitrous with 0 boost isn't a good thing.

BINGO Zex. I do plan on getting a hobbs switch, just havent got one yet. Just was wanting to play around for a little bit first.

I just figured there would be somebody that has done it already with a 24v with the same set up.

Thanks Jeremie

Alot of things are not good, and then there is what you are about to do.

Zero Fuel pressure, not good. 4,500RPM, not good. 20,000 miles on an oil cahnge, not good.

Then there is Nitrous with Zero Boost. Very Bad. Along the lines of 75Lbs boost on stock head&Gasket, and lots of water meth without boost.

You are asking for trouble.

No, No, No im not going to do it on 0 boost i have the head oringed and studded. i was going to use it at wide open throttle.

I wish i had 4500 rpm but restricted to about 3600 so i saw tonight. (when i broke).

Im just looking for the right wire to tap because i keep setting off the CEL with the light tester and fluke meter.

I guess im doing something wrong.

Thanks JCutter

The nitrous with 0 boost comment is because of the ZEX controller. They can see wide open throttle through the zex TPS switch and will activate the solenoid even though the truck has 0 boost. That's why I prefer a Hobbs.

Oh ok i see where your comming from. I wouldnt do that i know better (i think) i would roll on it or build the boost up if at the strip.

for a quick fix just so i could run it, i just ran a wire straight from the solenoid to my switch, then hit it as i start to make boost. a little low-tech and stupid, i know, but works for me. i have hit it a couple times too early and made the engine shudder for a second but other than that no problems
