All I can say is HOLY #&^$!!!

I picked up some goodies at Muncie and had the opportunity to install them late into the night last night.....

Chris Anderson... . dude, you need some NOS!! This stuff is like adding a whole separate engine to the truck..... I tried this just after installing the plate, injectors and DV's... and it's unbelieveable... .

Last on the list was the twins... ... spool is incredible, smoke is good and so far my max EGT's are 1200°

I'm a VERY happy camper... . many thanks to those who recommended that I do all of this to my truck.....

Man, it's like driving a whole new truck... . I HIGHLY recommend you pickup some NOS... . and put that camplate back in there... you'll make more power!! Quite a few people are making more power at 18mm of rack travel than at 21mm... . it's food for thought... .

Matt

OH MY G*D, Maybe it was a good thing I wasn't at Muncie.

Who knows what I would have come back with!

Congrads, I want a turn drivin it :D

I did NOT plan to spend all this $$..... those that were with me did a good job of taking care of me... but I could not pass up all of the good deals I found... .

I'm @ work now... I can't wait to drive her home!! :D

Matt

How does that transmission like the upgrades?:D

Is it making any funny noises?

Don~

oh, cool stuff Matt.

Go pop it on the dyno and see what it does now

The stock auto transmission is hating life more than ever.

Driving it for the past 48hrs has made the TCC slip REALLY bad... .

I shudder to think (pun intended... ) how much torque she makes now.....

PUT THOSE CAMPLATES BACK IN!!!!

Matt

I'll put it on a Mustang Dyno only... . that way I can moan about the #'s... . haha!!! :D

Matt you have totally changed your mind on the cam plate issue? Why? I am going to see if I can use the AFC to limit rack travel. There is also a adjustable screw on the outside of the pump wich could limit the trottle arm position to keep from over fueling. I would just grind my stock cam plate but I afraid the EPA may freak out one of these days so I am keeping all my stock stuff. I hope to come by some cheap take out stock plated one of thease days so I can expiriment. My plate is out for now and I can see no way that can hurt anything from the inspection I did. I am planning to mesure rack travel and maybee I will limit it to 18mm or less. I think it wount be that hard to put a stop on the AFC arm to controll rack travel that way. I even think I can make it adjustable from the outside.

T Baker, just grind 12MM out of your stock plate and use it.

with the adjustment of the slots this can be used to stop the rack from over traveling. this is the method i use and is easily done.

Todd

Todd Ok that sounds good. Is that 12mm off the highest part? I guess we are all in the same boat if the EPA decides to make sure all our trucks meet the EPA original specifications.

You have got to be kidding me right? Chowder-boy put NOS on the truck?;) Matt, I know you got those turbos, but tell us more about the set up. I didn't know you bought anything besides the turbo.

Sounds like you'll be getting that transmission soon. :p

Andrew

Hey Matt- you've got more money than I do buddy. :( I wish I could afford that stuff right now. All in good time though... ... ... Congrats on the mods! I can't believe you did all of that before the transmission. I put the #6 plate in mine and that was enough to convince my I needed a new transmission! Twins... NOS... . STOCK TRANS... . :--) WTH???? :D Enjoy!

Chris

BTW- what twin setup did you get? What turbos are they?

Thanks for all the congrats/etc... .

I've always wanted to do this... . and figured... . what better time than now!!

See... . even Chris put his camplate back in!

Without a camplate... . too much rack travel hurts you... . so whichever method you choose to limit rack travel is your own choice. The "Big Guns" of the 12-valve world use 'em... . so it certainly doesn't hurt.....

Chris, NOS is the BOMB!! You need it NOW!! It's unbelievable!

Matt

Matt,

Did you O ring the head yet?? How much boost are you building now? Are you getting a lot more power than before without the nitrous on. I know we had a conversation on this website before and you didn't think you'd get much more power from twins without adding more fuel. I'm still sitting on the porch right now, wishing I was in your position with the twins installed. My HX60 is still patiently waiting for me to install it. I hope I will soon have time to finish rewelding my manifold and finish the plumbing so I can try my twin set up. How much more power??Envious minds need to know!

Garry.

HoleshotHolset: any pics of the twins?

well... . have you snapped any pictures of the twins and the other goodies yet? love the look of twins under the hood. . :D

All Throttle No Bottle... . my favorite bumber sticker to date :D

Hey Matt, i"ll challenge you to a race. no lets think of it as a cannon ball run :D 100 miles nonstop :D

you bring your goofy gas I'll bring my cocktail. AQUAHOL the only way to travel :D

i bet you cant run WOT for 100miles... . I can :D

congrats on the twins Dude, those go on my next truck.

No o-rings on the head yet... .

I've got it all wastegated to around 45psi.....

This is a home-fab... and looks like crap... . I'm not very proud of it... . when version 2. 0 comes out... I'll snap pics...

I do have more fuel now... . 370's and 191's = way more fuel than before.

She pulls good..... I'm very pleased.

No exhaust on it yet... . isn't very loud... .

I'll never race my truck like that..... it gets hot quick if I lay into it for more than 20 seconds. With 176k on the clock... I'm gonna be nice to it until I can afford o-rings/transmission/a house/etc... .
