Not a fun day

Finally did my ball joints or at least 2 of them here I was worry about the hub coming out, with the puller I bought it was a breeze however the ball joint another story... I have 2 OTC "C" press kits and the 7818 kit... and out of all that only 1 sleeve would work needless to say I destroyed that and couldn't finish the other side... ... what a pain I dont know how you guy are using these press with the sleeves supplied... ... then came the axle joint which was fun especially when I ran out of OXY/Acet. . :{ anyway where can I get just the sleeves for the presses that will work on these AAM "POS" axles without having to buy the whole kit that Quad 4 x4 offers... 300 something is a little steep.....

I know I'm going to torque off some folks but here goes... ..... I usually smoke wrench the ball joints out. Heat the heck out of the knuckle surrounding the ball joint and they usually come right out. I have run into a few from the midwest and they were a pita but they eventually came out. Good luck and hopefully somebody with a better idea chimes in?

Agreed I use a 4foot helper bar to finally get them to break..... But its the half arsed AAM offset the messed up my sleeves actually bent 3 of them..... boy I hope Dodge lost their arse on these POS designed axles
