My guess is that if crystallization is a problem, I'd be more worried about the crystals on the dirty pump nozzles at truck stops....than on the containers. However, in actuality, I do not worry about either.

From My experience I will have to say the service manager was incorrect.I have checked MANY numbers of trucks for def quality so far they have all tested fine with test strips for hydrocarbon contamination and refractometer except one where someone filled the def tank with a good amount of diesel.Some dtc's relating to def will only be tripped after adding approximately 2.5 gallons.

CEL went off, and with 35,000 miles showing I purchased the Chrysler extended warranty from Trish at Reidman Motors. $2620 for 8 years, 120,000 miles, $100 deductible. Feeling better now.

Always check the dates on the container if it is over a month old I do not buy it
