Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Not enough fuel ?

My tuck seems to run hot . I was thinkin maybe not enough fuel. If i run the juice on 5 i get about 35 psi boost and my EGTS can hit over 1300. or do i need less fuel? or is this normal? it runs about 800 on the freeway .

sounds normal if u got a heavy foot in warmer weather. try bhaf? or can use a type of boost cooler.

You need more air.

OL Ratlr is probably right, more air should help your egts. You have almost the same mods as I do and I run about 150 degrees cooler than you. But you have bigger injectors, so just add some more air to your fuel, should be all good from there...



at least till you go bigger again... . :-laf

A BHAF would help. Do you have a stock airbox? A cold air intake of some kind would probably help. I have an AFE stage 2, though there are several different brands. I also assume your 4" exhaust is all straight piping, no cat or anything? You shouldn't need a bigger turbo with your mods, i have a 40 and it cools quit well for me, though I only have 60 HP injectors.

I have an air raid in the stock box . Well some what stock box:-laf . i am makin a cold air box right now just havent had the time to finish it yet .
