I am not exactly looking for all smoke but a little would be nice. THis truck is a 97 with what I think is #11 plate and 270 injectors. . I have the plate and afc housing all the way forward and the starwheel turned all the way to the front. I don't get much smoke???? I have AFE filter in stock airbox with just about the whole bottom of the housing cut out. I also have 4" Jardine exhaust. . Another question? This BHAF from napa, etc... . will it flow more air than my AFE contraption??? THe truck runs good and pulls good. Although right now sitting on blocks waiting for axle u-joints... WHat a pain. . Thank you, marc

Sounds like you need to check fuel pressure. Maybe pop the overflow valve out of the back of the pump and check spring length, should be 1/2".

You should have alot of smoke!!

Good Luck

Curtis

I can build heat to 1200 pre turbo unloaded. . Boost shoots up to close to 30lbs. under full throttle. I changed fuel filter when i got the truck. . and it seemed if it was the first time in 243k it was changed. I have changed it twice since. . I plan on doing it soon, as fuel has been reportedly bad around here... . I will try the overflow this weekend if it stops snowing so I can do it... ps I played with state truck's DT466 and boy does it run now!!!!

by all the way foward do you mean the spring it tight or loose in the afc housing? if the spring is tight you need to turn the starwheel in the other direction(towards the engine not the fender).

The spring is loose... . Does anyone know if the Bhaf will flow more that an AFe stock size filter??? I am turboing a tractor of mine and think I may use the Bhaf instead of having a custom Afe filter made??
