Just one update. My 14mm head seized last week. As of now I am trying do decide what I want to do. Another 14mm head, back to a 12mm, or a p-pump. A p-pump would be nice, but then I would be in that first gen/p-pump no mans land. I can get the pump and all of the parts without a problem, but I really don't feel like working on my own stuff after turning wrenches on customers rigs all day. So, the less work the better. There are quite a few things to be done that will complement the 14mm head that I hadn't gotten to yet. Since the last dyno graph I posted, I installed different (bigger) big turbo parts, and did some turbo tuning. I'm sure it was good for a few hp, but I really want to experiment with some pump and injector stuff. My new set of custom nozzles showed up last week, but they aren't doing me much good now. Anyway, the project is on hold while I do some thinking.

Mike, have you figured out the cause of the plunger/barrel seizure ????

Running too hot;not enough fuel passing between plunger and barrel fit; "cocking" in the bore?????

Sorry to hear about this development bud... . OH... stick to the VE... we need some guys in the lead to aim at ... . keep strokin bud. .

pb... .

Yeah Mike- it would be immoral to run the p-pump. Just keep after it and she'll run like a dream again. Besides you'd look funny having to wear your hat backwards and inside out when you come in hear and visit. Ya know, thats what a guy gets when he puts a p-pump on a first gen! ;)

Good Luck getting her running again. The truck that is.

Sorry to hear about the problems Mike. Just want to say that you, Stomp and a few others are setting the bar pretty high! It makes a mark for the rest of us to try and achieve. Keep up the good work! Oo. :)

I sent you a PM re: your air filter mounts.

I have not determined the cause of failure. I was driving down the freeway at about 70mph and it just died. There was no contamination found, and always had good fuel pressure.

Stan - I got the PM - you have mail.

Thanks for the support guys!
