Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Not Starting {{{{{help}}}}}

HAVE A 99 TCD AND IT WONT START... IT IS A 6 SPEED AND IT GOT TO WHERE IT WOULD START IF I MOVED THE SHIFTER AROUND. DO YOU THINK ITS THE STARTER . IT MAKE NO CLICK OR ANY THING. OR IS THERE A HAVE TO PUSH IN CLUTCH SWICTH OR SENSER. THANKS FOR ANY HELP TRUCK IS DEAD NOW:-{} :--)

Yes there is a clutch switch.....

Not quite sure of location but if you follow the pedal up it should be obvious. You could jumper the wires and see if that is the problem.



Could be the batts too. When mine went out the grid heaters took so much power the starter wouldn't click either.

The switch is located on the master cylinder push rod(inside the cab). bg

And push that clutch TO THE FLOOR to make your connection.

My wife has a problem like this, SHORT LEGS.
