found www.tirechain.com earlier today. .
Planning to go to Oklahoma this April. We usually go south to Kingman,AZ, and then simply go east on I-40... no problemo!
this time, however, we're thinking about going by way of Southern Utah, Colorado (Denver) and then diagonal across Kansas... Should I get some chains for that loop, or is ice/snow likely to be an issue?
"Tiny" is a 4x4, but she's wearing UPS truck tires (Goodyear Unisteel 159's 245/70R19. 5's)
so she might need a bit more gription if the road surface gets too far past "suboptimal". .
What ch'all mountain people think??-rm
tirechain.com was (just since this a. m. ) sold out of the ones to fit my tires. . these other guys are less expensive, and may be easier to handle, besides (cable/spring) design http://www.vulcantire.com/
might shoot them an order, instead. . (can do both ends of truck (with shipping) for $171
