I removed the injection pump yesterday and before I put the new one in this afternoon is there anything else I should replace. Like, fuses, sensors, or even the power steering pump.
I think I recall being told to deff replace the CPS which is up near the IP I believe. I will be having a new VP from www.industrialinjection.com installed on mine next week.
doing this (removing vac pump) you will lose pump (Injector) gear and you be pulling the front cover to re time but you could crack the nuts and remove block to ps bracket bolt and make sure IP support bracket isnt cracked or broke
Definitely replace the Camshaft Position Sensor while you have it off. That thing is a BEAR to change when the pump is on. It is worth the $35 for the sensor to not have to get a skin graft on your hand down the road.
