Having installed multiple EGT probes, I figured I would just crank this one out in a few hours. I installed the SRT A pillar gauge mount, hooked up all the wiring with a nice neat wiring harness, found a good place to feed the boost hose and EGT wiring through the firewall, installed the tapped boost bolt and hooked up the boost line. I then drilled out the exhaust manifold for the 1/4 NPT fitting on the EGT probe just like 5 times before, go to install the probe and realize it's a 1/8 NPT fitting. :--) You ever get the cold sweats? That'll do it for ya. So now I am debating what to do to. I hope there is an 1/4 NPT adapter that has internal threads for my 1/8" probe. Any suggestions?

I feel like such a boob, but like my dad says, if you ain't screwin somethin up, ya ain't tryin...

My autoemeter came with a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter if I remeber correctly. I tapped 1/8 so I'll check my box-o-parts here in a few minutes!

Yes, there is a 1/4 - 1/8 adapter. Just go to a local auto parts store and they should have a rack full of compression and pipe fittings.

Thanks fellas. Luckily my " I know what the heck I'm doing" blunder only cost me . 85 cents for a an adater bushing. Live and learn I guess...

That's pretty cheap "tuition" in my book.

If you don't find them there, your local Home Depot should have a large rack of fittings and adapters too. Might even be less expensive?
