HELP!!

Trying to build some plumbing for oil bypass and want to understand all of these types of connectors. People look at me as if I have two heads when I say NPT or JIC or AN to them. What do they all stand for and what is their use? HELP!!

Phil

NPT - National Pipe thread (tapered normally)

- AN... The dash is based on 1/16 of an inch. a - 4 is 4/16 of an inch... therfore quarter inch. - 12 is 3/4

I'd say your 6AN and -6AN are the same but Im unfamiliar (i think... ) with "AN".

MNPT is probly just "male" npt, and JIC is a flared end fitting that most american hydraulic systems use. I think its a 37* flare but the threads wont quite fit your standard brake line flare.
