Just curious. I notice the other truck makers listing tow ratings for conventional and 5th wheel as being different. Dodge doesn't. They have on listing which I believe to be conventional. Is there a formula of some sort that would convert the conventional to 5th wheel?
From the trailer towing rating section of the Dodge bodybuilders' guide (2011 3500 Crew Cab):
4. The maximum trailer weight is 5,000 pounds for a weight-carrying hitch. A weight distributing system is recommended for trailers over 5,000 pounds. A fifthwheel or gooseneck hitch is required for trailers over 12,000 pounds.
