I was really hesitant to post this question but what the heck. I didn't get to dyno at the DFW dyno days last weekend like planned, so I want to guess at my hp and torque. I did a search and found a WIDE range of reported numbers with similar setups as mine. I know some are way to high!!

For those that have dynoed with something similar, what are you seeing?

2001 6spd, 3:54, 275's, EZ (with elbow), BHAF

Thanks

Len

I dynoed that exact combination in Calgary in December of last year... ... ... down to the T except I have 4. 10s. 298 hp-sorry no torque # though.

HTH

A ETH should make about 210-215 RWHP stock. witha good airfilter, and an timing box (EZ or the like) you should see 60-65hp at the tires for 270-280. Then add 20-25hp for the 275s for 290-305hp. Torque should be in the 700 range, maybe as much as 750lbft.

FWIW,

Mark

I dyno'd the exact combination you have, except mine is a 2002. I got 296/757 on Edge's dyno.

What number you guys get for 0 - 60 mph and for 1/4 mile time and speed on the end of 1/4 mile with this set up ? I used this Gtech meter to get 0-60 mph and 1/4 miles times. Was 0-60 mph @10. 28 sec and 1/4 mile @ 16. 69 with speed on end 91. 3, and used this calculator javascript:gearcalc(); but is big different in calculations. If I use 1/4 mile time I get 314 HP, but ,if I use speed on the end of 1/4 mile HP will be 438 HP which I think is impossible. Gtech RWH show 279, that sound somehow right. Did anybody have experience with this Gtech meter ?

M:cool:

for what its worth

my Stock eth/dee/3. 54 did 219hp/609tq @60mph(I thought this was kinda high for a stock truck but dyno's dont lie right  )

At may maddness with that same combo I made 322 hp,no TQ #'s though. A box on a ETH may only see 35 hp=EZ Edge, mine made 251 with the EZ Edge and I made the rest up with the RV injectors.

I dynoed my truck last Feb. ( see sig. below) 239hp/569tq. Which I thought was low. My truck is a 3500 (more unsprung weight) also dynoed in 5th gear which I'm told will give lower numbers. But easier on the clutch.

See end of sig for numbers

This was with less than 5K on the engine. Clutch holds fine as long as you don't mash it below 1900 RPM in 4th, 5th or 6th.

well, I think if he is thinking of bombing his truck, he should be ready for clutch replacement.

the first test drive I did when I plugged in the puck... with my 275's, my clutch smoked... ... this was at 1800 rpm in 5th

if he is going to tow at all he will eventually toast his clutch with over 750 ftxlbf on tap

I just got off a dyno and my numbers are somewhat close to what you guys reported, too. 310hp@60 mph and 990ftlbs@ 44mph. This was on a BD Mustang at about 1100 feet, 40 degrees F. and in 5th gear.
