its bigger than my 2 ". What size is it so I can go buy one? Also how do you get the keeper clip out? Its not like any i've seen before.

any ideas as to that clip, when i pull on the tabs they eventually just break off. I'm wondering if I need to turn the nut in a bit first, then maybe this will loosen the keeper?

You can get the clips at your local NAPA. The last time I got any there they still didn't list them but they do for the fords. My local store had them in stock. Jake

Thanks Jake that helps a ton. I can allready picture the look on the kids face when i try and explain this one to him, you don't by chance know a part no. ? If not i'm sure we'll figure it out.

Went to Sears yesterday to invest in a 2 9/16, 3/4 drive socket to find they don't stock anything that big. I'm thinking about trying to get one of the nuts off without a socket then making one out of steel and a smaller nut welded together. I just have to get that clip off without breaking off any more of my handle. Sure is being a pain in my arse for such a piddley job.

you need a special axle nut socket a regular socket won't fit. You can get them from NAPA for about $35. Also you may want to do a search and consider changing to the old style jamb nut set-up.
