If I were going to add an extra pusher pump closer to the tank, but leave my stock one on the engine, what specs would be best. Higher/lower psi than the stock, higher/lower gph than stock? I am planning on just putting an extra pump close to the tank.

I put the carter 4600 that puts out 8psi in front of the tank on the frame rail. With a healthy LP in the stock location this configuration produces about 18-20 psi at the VP44. This configuration has shown to be reliable for me and many others.

The carter 4601 puts out 16psi, about the same as the stock LP. However it appears to be susceptible to failure. Perhaps because the pusher pump is always pumping against high resistance due to its higher pressure? Don't know.

Got mine at Summit for about $90.
