2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission NV-241HD Repair & Service

I am having to change the rear seal on my NV-241HD. In addition to it leaking there, the rear gasket is leaking and am planning on replacing it. The truck has 110,000 miles on it. Couple of questions:



1. I am planning on refilling with Chrysler ATF fluid. Any better fluids that are easily obtained locally?



2. Does the gasket require any type of RTV sealant?



3. Anything else that I need to replace or service while I am in there?



Any help would be greatly appreciated.
