Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) nv 4500 rebuild ?'s

my transmission and clutch finally went on friday night :{ while i have the transmission out i want to freshen it up a bit.



where is the best place to get parts? my guess is synchros, bearings, updated 5th gear nut and imput shaft.



who has good prices? where is a good place to order the parts from?



i am planning on a SB con fe clutch

My personal favorite is Dan at Quad 4x4. He has small kits, big kits, tools, videos with the kits, etc...



He will go the extra distance for you. I've bought a bunch of stuff from him.



Definitely buy the upgraded mainshaft and nut set-up.

Ditto on Dan! He has a upgrade for the 4500 called the "Torque King" that looks bulletproof. When you get the SBC, get the upgraded pilot bearing while you're at it. Highly suggest the 13" "6"-Speed clutch/flywheel set-up, mine works great!!

next couple of days it is coming out im leaving here when i get of the computer to go to indiana to pick up my clutch now all i need are the trns parts cant wait to get it done!!!

bring it down and we can do it on the lift if you dont have access to one.

i got the transmission out today. i went down to a friend of the familys near cabelas in dundee he has a lift that i used thanks for the offer!!

im supposed to get the parts on tuesday. as soon as i get them i will get them to you. i also ordered a bd short shift kit from genos on friday.

yes it sure sucks when you cant drive your truck. i definately know the feeling.
