See page 144 of the current issue (#44). I'm planning to use the Pennzoil Synchromesh unless someone can talk me into something else (please try because I would like more input). The article states that is "will likely not easily be found" but I saw it at Autozone the other day.

I switched to Redline MTL and loved the results. Better shifting all around.

I changed the MTL out for the pennzoil synchromesh at the next change because I was too cheap to go redline.

I ended up draining that pennzoil within 200 miles, and replacing it with Redline MTL again. Live and learn. MTL is good stuff.

Interesting note, my buddy picked up some fluid for me at the Chrysler dealership where he works. The Mopar# is correct on the bottles, but the label says NV3500. I hadn't seen anything here about what other transmissions use this lube, just the issue that our 6-speeds have a PARTICULAR fluid.

I tired the Pennzoil for about 1k, and quickly dumped it. My transmission would shift very hard and was extremely notchy with the pennzoil. I went back to the Mopar stuff and it has been fine since then. I have noticed that every 15-17K it gets a little tempermental. I think it may be time to change the fluid again.

The mopar stuff costs about $7 a quart, and you need about 4. So for about $30 bucks, it is not a huge investment for a fluid you know will work.
