Does the nv5600 have a speed sensor... . my sensor in the rear dif hasn't been hooked up in years but lately my speedometer and cruise went out... is there a speed sensor on the trans... thanks

I know my 05 NV5600 doesn't have one, the only plug on the trans is for the R switch.

Crawl under the truck and take a look. But you were probably using a front wheel speed sensor.

This is from the 02 SM. What year is your truck?

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is no longer used
for any Dodge Truck.
Vehicle speed and distance covered are measured
by the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor. The sensor is
mounted to the rear axle. A signal is sent from this
sensor to the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) computer.
A signal is then sent from the CAB to the
Engine Control Module (ECM) to determine vehicle
speed and distance covered. The ECM will then
determine strategies for speed control system operation.

Speed sensor is definitely not on the transmission. My memory is fuzzy now but I think it is mounted on the rear axle pumpkin and gets a signal off the rotating ring gear.

The system pulls its signal from the rear diff and there are also signals from the anti-lock system for comparison during braking actions. So you can lose the rear signal and still have a speedometer reading via the computer if memory serves me correctly.
