Looking for a parts list for a gutbag G560 to nv4500 swap. Tell me if I miss any thing: Bell housing, trans, cross support, slave cylinder and a new clutch.

Also hat tools? trans jack and wrenches

what is the differance in weight?

estimated time could it be done in a weekend?

anyone wanna help?

YOu don't need a new cluthc unless your old one is bad.

I suggest getting an aftermarket bellhousing and kit from Advance Adapters. If you scrounge the parts yoruself, you will also need the flywheel housing and starter from a '95-'97 Dodge.

AA will also provide a t-case shift lever bracket.

I agree with Don. Get the bellhousing from AA. I reused the original crossmember but had to make some minor mods to accest the new rubber mount. You're original clutch will work but IIRC you'll need to shorten the imput shaft collar of the NV4500 by a little. This is all in the instructions supplied by AA.

The AA kit is the way to go. The adapter bell housing fits perfect, and all your old parts bolt up.

The only thing I didn't like was the instructions said to leave out the rear seal on the NV4500. This is because the coupler shaft for the T-case won't fit in the seal. I felt this was kind of hack. It took me about 20 minutes to turn down the coupler on a lathe about an inch back so it would fit into the seal. The seal thing probably doesn't matter much, but it bugged me and it was easy to make it work with the seal.

I was suprised how much quieter my truck is with the NV4500. I never realized how noisy the Getrag was until it was gone.

Is Quad4x4's kit the same? I wouldn't like leaving the seal out, gotta run the same fluid in both transmission and t-case. Well since the 4500 runs the high dollar liquid gold, one would have to buy more for the t-case, and would mr. 205 agree with the liquid gold? I heard if you put a 5600 and 205 together you'd leave out the transmission seal, but didn't know about the 4500...

I just got a complete NV4500 From jcalbert?sp? I thought the only reason I needed the bell housing was because of the getrag end being different from the nv. anyone got the price on AA's kit?\
