Who's used Autoworld mounts on a 73-87 Chevy?

94 chevy 3500 swap

Well, my bad luck prevails again. I bought a np205 to mate to my nv4500, but of course after purchasing it I found out there was a diff. in the spline counts and I naturally got one out of a 727 truck. It looks pretty pricey to convert it over to a 29 spline to mate to the nv4500. Does anyone have or know where i can get a 205 out of a getrag truck? It would be sweet(but probably wishful thinking) to find someone wanting to swap. I think this tcase will bolt to a 47re/rh. Thanks,

yeah sounds like you've got a 23-spline unit there - fits the auto's just fine. You'll most likely just have to pony up to $500 or so for a 29-spline unit. The 29-splines also fit the NV5600's clean, FYI.

I thought about converting one of 205 t-cases to fit my gettrag stuff , or nv4500 stuff



the price is the same to have it done as anouther t-case



Hd gear does thees conversions
 
Do you know what hd gear charges for it? It seems to me that the conversion would probably be higher than if I can hold out and try to find another t-case. I would rather find one anyhow, just hard to come by. I have a nv4500 already so i will be using it for sure. Now i just need to find someone who bought one from a getrag and needs one for an auto so we can trade straight up. lol probably 1 in a mil. chance

Do you know if the gasser and diesel 205 man. trans is the same? Thanks for the tip on car part, I've found a few on there already, just need to know that first. thanks
 
i've heard from others that the diesel 205 has bigger bearings and some other parts inside . . compared to a gas version
 
The diesel 5speed np 205 has a 29 spline input all gas np 205 in dodges have 23 spline, and the diesel automatic is also 23 spline
 
Not to mention the 23 spline auto 205 case itself will need to be machined/bored out to accept the bigger 29 spline input shaft and bearing. Also the front input bearing retainer will need machined as well. But since the 29 spline getrag 205 is such a dinosaur, you almost have to pony up the bucks to convert your auto 205.
