now in for 35k
No problems

Factory fill til 26,000 yes/no. . MAYBE

Amsoil Series 2000 75w-90- 62,000 NO

Vibration in 4th is most likely NOT oil related. Few bearings are involved because power is not going through the countergear (cluster), just straight through the mainshaft. Also, we all know how much the Cummins vibrates under load at low rpm--that alone can lead to transmission problems and no oil can prevent it.

95 4x4 2500, 93000 total miles
changed to Torco Full Syn 75w. 90 @ 26k
and again at 50k and will likely go with syntorq the next time (GL4 vs GL5).
No problems to date. Oil analysis shows all is well.
 
1) Castrol SYNTORQ LT
2) 68K (changed once @ 40K)
3) No problem

Note: Big difference between SYNTORQ and Syntech

1994 1st 30,000 miles factory fill.
Remainder up till I sold it at 122,000 miles Mobil 1 GL5, no problems. My brother has it now.

Orginal Trans:
1. Amsoil S2K 75W90
2. 150,000 four changes, lost 5th gear three times, took out mainshaft last time. Sold trans to rebuild shop. NO OIL Related wear.
3. NO

Factory New (99 Model) replacement NVG4500:
1. Factory oil
2. 26,000 (no wear or problems with sample tested but only 30W oil. NVG5600 Oil???)
3. No, but ****s like sh?t.

Just Switched to Amsoil S2K 75W90 and trans shifts better.

Factory fill drained @ 25k- refilled with Amsoil Series 2000 75W-90 & Geno's filter kit installed. Serviced again @ 50k, again with Amsoil. Currently 60k- no problems.
