NV4500 rear seal

Mines a '95 3500 5 speed, When getting ready to do some undercoating I noticed the rear trans seal is leaking. Is this one easy to change? Any "different" tools needed?



Also, how do I get my signature back since the big change?

I'll answer the easy question...

To turn the sig back on, scroll down to the bottom of the screen when posting. There is a check box to check to show sig.

Are you talking about the the output seal in the tail housing? if so all youhave to do is undo the bolts that hold the center support for the driveshaft and then pull the DS out of the trans ( it just slides out). Then use a pair of pliers to pull the seal out it will get damaged, so make sure you have the RIGHT replacement in hand. Then take a 1 pound rubber mallet and TAP the new one in. Insert the DS back in the trans and reattach the center support.
