I am looking to replace my gearbox, it is getting a bit difficult to shift. The synchros were chewed up a bit last year when I had the pilot bearing go bad. #@$%!#@$%!(The bearing was replaced along with new clutch) Since the weather is much better now might as well get it replaced before I am stuck.

I just bought a NV5600 from Blumenthals in OKC. They are mopars certified rebuilder. They were cheaper than the junck yard! My brother lives there and has used them a few times and said they were a great place to deal with. I agree. I dealt with Alan at 888-236-4800. Good luck,

Dave

Don't want to flame anyone but I wouldn't buy a busted transmission from the afore mentioned shop. I would go with Quad 4X4 out of Montana. What he doesn't know about the 4500 and 5600 you could put on the sharp end of a hat pin with lots of room left over. I got my parts from him to do mine and his service is as good as Southbend Clutch, Geno's and others of that calibar. Which is second to none. JMHO

Quad 4X4 was where I was going to go . I also noticed that he is retiring and sold out of most/all needed parts . So the search is on for somewhere else.

I would be very cautious when dealing with the shop in OKC. We have a moderator who had his popping out of gear before and after they worked on it.

Are there any other recomendations from others who have had good rebuilds from other shops? Please let us know.

Tony

Any other recommendations ?:confused: Good bad or otherwise, since my pay has not increased with the cost of fuel I want the best value that I can afford.
