Who makes the best synchros for the nv4500 ?

I think the only place still making them is Tulsa Fabrication, and they make them exclusively for Blumenthal... . who sells them to Standard and Wade's in their boxes... . that's where I get mine, and I haven't had any complaints, except make sure and tell them to put ALL the synchros in there. Last time I didn't get a 5th gear... . they overnighted it, though.

Quad 4x4 claims to sell oem snychros but my concern is will i have to run castrol oil

Blumenthal sells their own oil if you want it... . I think it's made by an independent company in Tulsa, as well..... Pennzoil makes synchromesh if you hate Castrol so much.

Anyone see anything wrong with running some Castrol LT thats been on the shelf for a while ?

I don't hate castrol but I read somewhere that gl 5 oils would attack the synchronizer material

Castrol Syntorq is the OEM oil supplied by Chrysler, I believe.....
