NV4500

I just tore the input shaft out of my NV4500 trans. I am looking for info on parts or a Trans. I got a 91 4X4 I converted it to a NV4500 last year after 3 Getrag. The so called bullit proof trans dont seem so great now. The input shaft broke by the bearing and the trans had oil in it. The bearing must have went bad because it was melted along with the Syncro behind it. This trans crap is getting old with me. Maybe a Allison is on the way.

I forgot to mention that the truck also has a detroit locker and 4. 10. Maybe this is too much for the trannys to take. I would recomend the Locker I hardly ever have to use 4X4 with it. The only problem is when you do get stuck Oh Boy!

I wouldn't swear to it but sounds like the preload wasn't set properly in that 4500. Standard has that input shaft for $87 because I priced one last week.
