NV5600 2WD to 4WD ???

If you say got the chance at getting an inexpensive but not free 2wd nv5600 but really actually needed it to become 4wd to transplant into an auto truck. Is it worth the time and costs to find the output shaft and tail section and have them swapped over. Or best to buy one that’s already 4wd?

It will have to be fully disassembled and the mainshaft swapped out, also the tail housing. I would call 800-std-tran and ask Corey what to do next. They have been building 5600s for a long time, and did mine in Issue 67.

5600's are getting harder to find and when you do they aren't cheap. So it depends on the total cost of the project. Obviously your going to want to do an overhaul when you have it apart. I wish I knew more about the 2x4 to 4x4 aspect of it. Let us know what you find.
