I am going to change the transmission and differential fluid in my 03 this weekend what type of fluid do I use and were is the best place to get it. And also what is the fluid capacity for the NV5600 the AAM 11. 5 and 9. 25. Thank you.

Ken: Nice link, just ordered mine from local distributor. $49. 89 plus PA tax, $52. 88. Now what do we need to run in front/rear diff's?

You could always go to a local Pep Boys and purchase Mobil 1 75W-90. I'd buy 4 quarts for the rear and 3 quarts for the front - you'll have some left over.

Diff cover bolt torque is 30 ft lbs; and fill hole plug is 24 ft lbs.

If you buy online, you have lots of options.

Manufacturer says a full-synthetic GL-5 oil. It's that simple. Personally, I like Valvoline Synpower 75w-90, but many use Mobile 1 too.

My local Pennzoil distributor is failing me. It's been 3 weeks and they still can't get me any Synchromesh. I also ordered a case of the aforementioned Synpower, which they have so far been unable to get.

The NV-5600 will take 9. 5 Pints or about 5 Qts.

The AAM 11. 5 will take 7. 7 Pints or about 4 Qts.

The AAM 10. 5 will take 4. 8 Pints or about 2 1/2 Qts

I do not think the 2500 or 3500 CTD trucks use the AAM 9. 5 axle.

I use the Amsoil Series 3000 HDD 5W-30 in the NV-5600. And the Amsoil Series 2000 75W-90 Gear lube in the Differentials.
