Nv5600 case lubrication upgrade

Does anyone know if the nv5600 case lube modification case be done at home or does anyone have any photos

many just add a extra qt after putting the OEM fill plug in, I did that and ran mine w/o any issues.

Install it at the next transmission service. The oil fill hole has been adjusted to ensure an extra quart of oil is filled at the fill hole. This is what I installed on my NV5600. They not only look nice but being that they are made of aluminum, they transfer heat better.

If you're referring to the Pocket Bearing Lube mod developed by Standard Transmission, it requires machine work you can't perform unless you have a machine shop.

the one quart overfill helps keep the rear mainshaft bearing lubed, but the best fix is the Standard Trans mod to the gear which squirts oil onto the bearing continuously. Since you can't buy new cases, it is wise to maximize the protection of your case.

@Joseph Donnelly STG just machines the case. They don’t use the drilled gears anymore. Of course ours closed so I can’t say for sure on Texas.
