NV5600 Conversion, would you do it again?

I agree, a long ways to go but worth it. I'll drive a long way for good service and piece of mind and you definately get that from Dan. He mentioned he had a guy coming from Nevada for a clutch in an 03. Is this your first FE? If so you'll like it, once it's broken in it'll get a little grabby but you'll learn to run it so it doesn't get too jerky. If you pull you'll want some way to get it in 2 Low for backing up (if you can with the '03).

This is my first FE and I love it so far. I don't really pull anything except a car trailer and my jeep or volunteering to help haul stuff for friends. Dan said, "That's a lot of power for a car trailer and jeep!" I said, "I know! :-laf " I also got the upgraded pilot bearing that has a bit tighter slip fit on the input compared to the puny stock POS needle bearing . It is different to drive and will require more use of first gear in traffic or slow speed manouvering in parking lots. Pedal feel is lighter and engagement is closer to the floor than stock. transmission feels a bit tighter shifting too (kind of like new again). Unfortunately the 2 low feature for '03 yet doesn't exist yet.

Because I didn't know you ordered one. What did you get a 4500 or a 5600? He had a couple 4500s on the floor but mine was the only 5600 at the time. Too bad it didn't work out, I coulda saved you a few $$ on shipping.

5600. He said he had one 5600 in stock when I called but he's having mine direct shipped from where he gets them. There is no shipping charge on them though. He had 10 on order and said by the time they get there he'll only have a couple that aren't already going somewhere. Glad you like your, and I hope mine is as good. Jake
