I have 05 with NV5600 transmission with a positraction differential. The Dodge Owners manual as well the Haynes Repair manual do not specify over the counter products to use. I want to change both fluids and have no idea what to buy.

Thanks Ron

You can use QuakerState/Pennzoil Syncromesh in the trans. The diff uses either 75W90 synthetic or 75W140 synthetic. I hear the dealerships are using pretty much 75W140 syn. in everything. No additive is needed.

I've used the Pennzoil Syncromesh in the transmission and Mobile 75W90 in the front and 75W140 in the rear for 300,000 miles.

Some people report rear end chatter with different fluids, I've had it myself, no chatter with the Mobile.

Just changed mine today with NV5600 Penzoil syncromesh and both diffs with 75w-90 Mobil 1 synthetic. No chatter for me either.

I've been using Redline in my 94 and in my 03 and I am extremely pleased with them. The Redline MTL improved the shifting in my six speed.
