NV5600 filter

In the latest issue of the TDR magazine (issue #50), there is a picture on page 40 of a NV5600 trans filter. Is this filter a factory filter & replacements are available through Genos? Or is this filter an aftermarket? It sure looks like it caught a bunch of crud!

It is aftermarket from Geno's.



Cost around $30, and then $10 for the replacement filters.



I'm doing this to mine next time around...

I believe that would be the Geno's aftermarket filter set up. I got one for my '04 NV5600 when I had Dan at Quad 4x4 rebuild the NV4500 in my '98. He said the 5600 contaminates the oil quickly and recommended 30,000 mile oil changes and using filters. The filter set up he sells appears to be the same as Geno's. We put one on the '98 too. It replaces the PTO cover on the passenger side. They seem to be pretty effective.
