Wanting to change out my transmission fluid, I looked up several of the posts that indicated you can purchase the gl5 from Texaco (1874 MTX Fluid). Calling Texaco, then the distributor, they no longer sell the 1874 in 5 gal containers, only 55 gallon drums now. Went to the local Dodge dealer, and they get $20. 88 per quart, for the Mopar p/n 4874464. Capacity for the 5600 is 9 pints, which comes out to 4 1/2 quarts. Five quarts, over $100. The only thing that helped me over the hump, was $35. 00 in coupons that I had from the dealership.
If anyone comes across the MTX in 5 gallon containers, ya better snatch it up.
