Sorry, not buyin' it. It just doesn't make sense to me. Synchros are supposed to have friction; without friction they can't slow the shaft down for the gears to mesh(which is the whole point). Even if they are clutch packs instead of brass and won't be damaged; logic says it won't work! BTW-I believe it's the sulphur that eats regular synchros but I'm not sure on that one. All right, lets get it on! :-{}
I was always under the impression the "friction modifier" or limited slip additive was to increase friction, not decrease it? Perhaps I'm misinformed, it's been kno to happen a time or two...
