NV5600 on a first gen?

Will the new 6-speed trannies hook up to a 92' truck Bellhousing? my friend's old Getrag has had it. :{

I'm pretty sure I have read it can be done. Six gears would be sweeeeeeet for towing!

It should work and I'll bet someone has the bell housing to adapt it to a First Gen truck. Keep in mind that this transmission weighs in at 390 lbs. almost twice as much as the NV4500HD. Keep us posted. I for one am interested in how this plays out.

I am in the process of doing the swap now. You need a different adapter and starter. Then you can decide what to do about clutch. I just bought a McLeod dual disc but you could get a different disc and have the flywheel machined for the pilot bushing. You may contact me if you need more info.
